Who we are

Battersea K9 provides private and small-group dog training in South West London. For questions about this notice or the personal information we hold, email hello@batterseak9.com.

Information we collect

When you contact us or become a client, we may collect:

• your name, telephone number, email address and home or meeting location;
• information you share about your dog, your household and your training goals;
• consultation, booking, training, payment and communication records; and
• photographs or videos where you have agreed that we may take or use them.

Our hosting provider may also process technical information such as an IP address, browser type and request logs when you visit the website.

How we use it

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, arrange consultations, provide and support training, manage bookings and payments, maintain appropriate business records, protect our services and meet legal obligations.

We process information where this is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, to perform a contract with you, to comply with the law or for our legitimate interests in operating and improving Battersea K9. We will ask for consent where consent is the appropriate basis, including for optional promotional use of identifiable photographs.

Who receives it

We use trusted service providers to operate the business, including website hosting, email, WhatsApp, database and payment providers. They may process information on our behalf or under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect a person or animal, or to professional advisers where reasonably necessary.

We do not sell personal information.

International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where we are responsible for that transfer, we use providers and safeguards designed to protect personal information in accordance with UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing training, resolving enquiries or complaints and meeting tax, insurance, accounting and other legal requirements. Retention depends on the type of record and the nature of the client relationship. Information that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer, or object to how it is used. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Cookies and external services

The public Battersea K9 website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Following a link to WhatsApp, Google or the client portal takes you to a separate service with its own privacy and cookie practices.
